When then Governor Blagojevich vetoed the legislation, Rep. Pritchard successfully overrode the veto and sent the bill to the Senate. The Senate also overrode the governor's veto -- and the bill became law. This critically important legislation protects local control for community college boards through the state.

Rep. Prichard later introduced legislation that improved campus security and campus police protection.

A farmer and former executive director of the Illinois Ag Leadership Foundation, he is also a seed marketer, specialist in public affairs, university extension communicator, and county ag advisor.
